On tap at City Beer. Amazing sour/sweet dark red fruit aroma. Leaps out of the glass. Deep reddish-brown with taupe head. Dry tannic mouhfeel lets the barrel rear its sour contribution. So much complexity - blackberry, raspberry....pineapple?? Malt plays a supporting role in late palate.

As Sang Rouge. A dirty reddish brown ale with a thin moka head. In aroma, a sweet cherry brown sugar, with wood and Brett. In mouth, a prickly sourish acidic ground cherry, with epsom salt, cork wood, refreshing. On tap at brewpub July 31 2011.

Draught@Cascade Barrel Room as "Sang Rouge"
ABV 8%. Deep red color, small steady beige head. Slightly tart nose with hints of cherryish fruits and oak. Medium-bodied. Lots of oak in the flavor, tart, vinegardish cherries or other berries. Lingering tart-fruity flavor. Nicely balanced.

Bottle: Poured a deep clear reddish color ale with a nice thick bubbly head with good retention and light lacing notes. Aroma of sour oak notes with treat cherries and light acidic finish is quiet enjoyable. Taste is a very nice mix between some tart notes with definitive oak traces and a light acidic finish. Sour cherries notes are easily noticeable. Great complex sour from Cascades yet again though not necessarily different then some of there other beers.
