Bottle thanks to Mark. It pours jet black with a medium tan head. The aroma is soft, sweet, chocolate, toasty, earthy roast, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, nougat and chai latte. The taste is smooth, roasted malt, sweet coffee, chocolate, liquorice, cinnamon, nutmeg, pepper, wood and a touch of alcohol warmth. Medium body and moderate carbonation. I prefer this to the white version. Maybe lacking a bit of body. Not bad, but not up to Fierces other spiced beers.
