A pumpkin ale with the attitude of a world-weary barista, Punkuccino packs a short shot of Stumptown coffee toddy in your pint with just a shake of cinnamon and nutmeg. Pale, brown, biscuit, C-77 Crystal, chocolate and kiln-coffee malts provide the body, German Northern Brewer lends a touch of bitterness, and lactose sweetens just a touch. Three pumpkin additions, in the mash, kettle and fermenter.

Bomber: Cinnamon and coffee nose, brown sugar underneath. Dark brown, medium tan head. Cinnamon and coffee. Medium body, easy carbonation. No discernible pumpkin, but that's just fine.

22 ounce bottle, no dating.

It pours a dark brown with a tannish head of foam, quickly dissipating leaving a bit of lacing.

Nutmeg and cinnamon nose, light roasted malt, no coffee that I can discern.

The taste is heavy with the nutmeg and cinnamon, medium roasted malt and rather faint coffee for a beer with coffee in the name.

Very smooth mouthfeel and flavours, a very good Pumpkin beer.

$8.99 bomber, Wine Warehouse. My bottle says 6% rather than the 5% listed here. Pours dark brown with a small beige-tan head. Aroma is sweet cinnamon roll, nutmeg, coffee, vanilla. Flavor is cinnamon, coffee, nutmeg, roasted malt, sugar, vanilla. It tastes like a pumpkin spiced iced coffee (without the actual pumpkin). It's actually pretty tasty, but very artificial.

Draught @ Roasthouse, Frederick, MD. Pours cloudy dark copper brown with shades of ruby and airy beige head. Clear aroma of coffee, cinnamon, pumpkin and malt. Roasty flavour with notes of coffee and sweet touches of cinnamon, malt and pumpkin and estery touches. Bitter, hoppy hints, especially in the rather rough and spicy aftertaste. Weird but not bad.

Pour is a dark brown with a large tan head. Aroma is a decent equal mix of pumpkin pie spice and coffee. Flavor is the same. Not a over the top spice and not a over the top coffee. Both are there and equally noticable. A little more coffee than spice is left on the tongue after the swallow. This is pretty solid and a different take on a pumpkin beer.

Sampled from the tap at the Republic Seven Corners. Pours a clear dark brown with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a combination of dark grains, roasted makes and pumpkin spice with a hint of coffee underlying. Flavor showcases more coffee with a good amount of coffee and dark grains with roasted malts supporting.

22 ounce bottle. Translucent cola brown color topped by a small firm beige head. Big spicy malt nose, redolent of cinnamon and coffee. First sip brings more cinnamon and creamy cappuccino flavor. A smooth creamy mouthfeel as well. Coffee flavor dominates the palate, but the pumpkin pie spices are there. Mostly cinnamon and a hint of nutmeg and allspice. Rich, malty notes in finish. A decent effort. One of the better pumpkin beers tasted.

Draught @ Draught 55. Inky black with small foamy beige head, sharp coffee beans aroma, medium carbonation, bitter coffee taste with a hint of pumpkin flavor, medium bitter coffee finish. Strong coffee dominance with too little pumpkin.
