12 oz. bottle. Aroma is roasted nuts and bold hazelnut. Flavor has a nuance of chocolate, mild molasses, and a mild long lasting hazelnut. Body is really good for a Brown ale. Smooth creamy texture. Dessert in a glass.

12 oz bottle a gift from my daughter. Nose is cocoa, hazelnuts, and brown sugar. Clear reddish brown with a medium, lightly lacing, beige head. Flavor is moderately sweet, nuttiness, and a hint of caramel.

Sampled from a bottle this beer poured an almost black color with red highlights and a large foamy brown head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweet with strong chocolate and hazelnut. The flavor was sweet and toasty with strong chocolate & hazelnut and a hint of red wine. Long finish. Thick and creamy body.

Bottle. Pours dark brown. Hazelnuts, strawberry, huge strawberry cream aroma, nutty liqueur, milk chocolate, slight harsh grape thing, biscuit. Medium body. Decent.

Bottle [from trade, thanks!!] shared with Dutchdrebus and Joes. Brown color, small off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, malts, quite sweet, caramelised sugars, hazelnut, bourbon. Somewhat boozy in the finish. Medium body, decent to medium carbonation. Solid, but heavy though.

Keg at Man in The Moon, Stockholm. Near black with small beige head. Aroma of Nutella and nougat. Sweet with full body and soft, somewhat syrupy mouthfeel. Liquid hazelnut brownie. Mildly bitter finish. One dimensional.

12oz bottle pours a clear, caramel amber with some creamy, beige head. Nose is very nice, nuts, chocolate, brown sugar, caramel, hints of booze, a little chestnut honey, a little candlewax. Flavor is sweet with honey and brown sugar, marzipan, more rootbeer here than chocolate. Finishes sweet. As this warmed, I liked it less, the alcohol became MUCH more evident.

Thanks Drew (will_win_irwin on untapped).
This was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a dark brown color with a thin wisp of a white foamy head that dissipated lightly. Adequate messy lacing slides into the beer.
The smell takes in the hazelnut really nicely. Delicate chocolate leads in underneath. Subtle coffee.
The taste was mainly hazelnut sweet with a delicate bitter from the nuts. Slides into the aftertaste. Dry nutty finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium in body with a good sipping quality about it. Carbonation feels good.
Overall, as an imperial brown ale, this works. I’d have again.
