RBWG14 Trip Rating #139. Bottle shared at the Grand Tasting. Pours a clear amber color with a thin frothy off-white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of nuts, chocolate, floral and herbal notes. Taste is chocolate, candied fruits, herbal hops. Medium bodied.

Bottle at RBWG Grand tasting. Pours amber brown with off white head. Nose and taste of toasted nuts, toasted malts, hazelnut, almonds and spice. Medium body.

Nutella nose, more chocolate than hazelnut. Mahogany, slow building thick tan head. Sweet, chocolate syrup flavor, intense. Gives way to a nuttier hazelnut presence at midpalate and beyond. There’s an overriding grapey note that doesn’t seem like it belongs but adds a pbj element that is intriguing. Concord grapes are unavoidable upon warming. Trippy and enjoyable.

Draft: Dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of strong hazelnut, coffee. Caramel, hazelnut flavor. Silky smooth. Really nice.

Draft @ GABF 2013. Pours a brown color with a small off-white head. Has a slightly roasted malty coffee nutty aroma. Fruity malty chocolate caramel and nutty vanilla flavor. Has a roasted malty nutty chocolate and vanilla finish.

Government shutdown day 2. Draft. Murky briwn, like the workings of Cingress. Aroma of slightly boozy butterscotch. Taste us boozy milk chocolate, rich Butterfingers. Much more palatable then partisan shenanigans.

Bottle at RBWG 2013 Grand Tasting. Thanks to Beau. Pours clear brown with a moderate, beige foam head. Some light milk chocolate in the aroma. Medium sweet flavor with sweet chocolate, nips of hazelnut coffee, some maple syrup. Medium bodied with fine carbonation, sweet finish, some sticky sugars, burnt toffee, acute hazelnuts, some coffee. Good stuff.
