600 ml bottle. Dark amber pour. Small bubbly beige head. Toasted malt aroma. Hints of nuts and honey. Sweet toasted malt flavor. Earthy malt in middle. Sticky, sweet malty finish. Warming alcohol notes as well.

Bottled, no clear date but ridiculous reading coding.
Pours a clear mahogany, sufficient foam to make it look good. Some slow oozing when I popped the cap.
Smells sweet, nutty, sweet from a milk chocolate like aroma, definitely some oxidation going on so could be a bit long in the tooth. Not off putting level.
Caramel malt, nutty taste. Again, some oxidation notes but in an aged English Old Ale kind of way which I can easily deal with. Mild milk chocolate adding to the caramel.
Medium body with mildish carbonation.
Nice malt "bomb ".

Shared 20 oz. bottle. Pours hazy amber with lasting off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt. Taste is sweet malt, caramel, syrup, bread, and bitter nut extract. Cloying. The sweetness combined with the bitter nut flavor make for a rather unpleasant taste. Medium-bodied. Tough to finish this one.

20oz bottle. Not that impressive of an aroma. Oxidized specialty malts, syrupy not extract tone, slightly infected..the aroma is really unenjoyable, approaching vile. Should have saved this one for a tasting, it is not going to be fun drinking 20oz of this. Serious let down after enjoying some Way Beer sours. Shabby, poorly executed, cheapish feel. Not much is working here.

Trübes bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit geringer beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch nach reifen Früchten, sehr malzig, leicht alkoholisch. Geschmack kräftig malzig, Karamell, reifes Obst, alkoholisch.

Rich hazy light brown coloured body with a glow of copper and bronze and an interesting, almost neon green glow when held up to a light, all with a single centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of nuts, earth, alcohol, caramel and a lot of honey. Full-bodied; Deep earthy and pungent nut flavour with a big bitterness of metal, malt, medicine and cough syrup. Aftertaste has more alcohol notes than anything else with the nuts and earth hitting hard, some caramel and toffee also, but the bitterness from the metal and malt is overwhelming. Overall, a beer that was below expectations, but true to the consensus here on RB - not so great. I sampled this 600 mL stubby bottle purchased from Central Market in Houston, Texas on 10-August-2013 for US$8,99 sampled at home in Washington on 20-July-2014, but wasn’t worth saving this long nor the trip home from Texas.

Bottled 600ml. -at Estacao des Maltes, Natal. Amber/brown coloured, minimal off-white head, some caramel and grain in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel and noticable alcohol with nutty and fruity notes. Slight syrupy and dryish finish. Not the best one here but pretty much ok.

6th July 2014
Hazy amber beer, small pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and semi dry and a little crispy. Smooth dry malts and light sweet esters. Sweetish dry nuts. Finishes smooth and dry and mildly bitter. Creamy nutty aftertaste and esters also linger on. Not bad.
