“Our little brewery would like to highlight a young Belgian artist Gaëlle Boulanger. She’s a magnificent painter, illustrator and graphic designer.
There will be a series of five special edition bottles, each of which featuring work from Gaëlle on the label. After all the bottles in the edition have been sold, the original painting will be auctioned for the benefit of the artist. This is a unique opportunity to get to know the great work of this young artist.

Bottle @ Doodler. Thanks! Pours a murky dark orange/brown appearance with a tan head. Quite spicy aroma. Some mint and sage. Pretty floral. Doughy, bready flavor with orange and flowers. Pretty bitter. Fine.

750mL bottle, pours an opaque amber orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out candied sugar, Belgian yeast, bubblegum and licorice. Flavour is quite dry, with loads of spiciness and pepper. Surprising how different the flavour is from the nose. Very spicy and fairly harsh. Not the best, but not a disaster either.

750 flip-top from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours dark copper with a creamy beige head. Aroma of fruit, yeast and herb. Med body. Flavor is light stone fruit, yeast, herb/veg and arguably something else I can’t figure out. It’s not dry, and it’s marginally bitter. Very fruity/yeasty/tasty. I think there’s some white berry hiding here. Nice ale.

Bottle - Light orange, clove, caramel and a bit of booze. Clear copper with a thin beige head. Spices, ketchup, light hoppy bitterness and a nice finish. Odd, with some interesting notes and no yeasty finish.

A little on the odd side. A lot more grapefruit citrus than most Belgian strongs - an aroma more like some IPAs. Pours golden orange without much head or lacing. Some bitter astringency in finish, a little sourness. Bottle thanks to Travlr or Jack at Churchkey.

Bottle shared at ChurchKey. Thanks everyone! Poured a hazy red-orange color with an off-white head. Aroma was notes of citrus, caramel, yeast notes. Flavor was some funky yeast character, herbal and floral notes. I know what they were going for with this one, but the mouthfeel was just so-so for me. Not terrible, but wished it was a bit more refreshing.

Shared by Dany @ Fantome. Great label, gorgeous! Bright orange appearance, frothy head. Nose was peach, pineapple and rye peppercorn spice. Taste was mild juiciness, bread, corn flakes, flour and honey sweetness. Finishes clean and very dry, fairly thick mouthfeel that I hope dries out. Quite nice.
