Sampled from a bottle this beer poured a dark orange color with a large foamy orange white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was doughy, yeast, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. The flavor was tangy ND yeasty with nutmeg and clove. Medium length finish. Medium body.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with stable white head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with notes of hops. Sweet flavour of malt and lager yeast, with very mild notes of pumpkin, and bitter, hoppy touches. Rough and estery aftertaste with malty touches. Okay, drinkable but it tastes like an upgraded lager.

Draft pour at Great Pumpkin Beer Fest. Clean and clear pour. Golden orange in color. Write a bite to this one. Holiday spices battling a sweetness. Biting flavor. A bit harsh. True pumpkin pie flavor, once all settles. Interesting.

At a Superbowl party: Pours amber with white head. Aroma is plenty of pumpkin spice. Taste is pretty sweet with a good amount of pumpkin spice/gourd in it. I didn’t think that this was too thin at all. Not bad.

Tastes a little four dish, pours orange and finishes with light sourness. Tasted this at a Giant. I didn’t get the growler.

Light copper coloured body with a nice two centimetre tall tan head that fades fairly fast. Aroma of strong pumpkin, light spices, some caramel and toffee and a good nutty maltiness. Medium-bodied; Strong pumpkin and squash flavours with hints of alcohol, toffee, pumpkin pie spice and a hint of extra nutmeg - more squash than anything else. Aftertaste shows a good balance and more emphasis on the squash maltiness and the alcohol - not so much spice or sweetness at all. Overall, a decent beer - if you like pumpkins, try this, or if you dislike the spices in typical beers of the season - try this, a very refined and subtle balance makes for a nice beer without an overload of spices. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Washington (Eye St - Foggy Bottom) on 14-September-2013 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 30-November-2013.
