A bright, pintable beer built on Golden Promise with flaked barley for soft body and Caramalt for a touch of honey character without the sweetness.
Ernest hops, (sourced from Hukins Hops) lead with loads of papaya of all things and a herbal spice on the nose. Fermented with English ale yeast, expect a dry and bitter finish.

(Cask at Kernel Taproom, Bermondsey, London, 18 July 2026) Golden colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with citrus, mixed fruit, soft bready malt and grass. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of bread, grass, herbs, mixed fruit, peaches and a mild grassy/herbal bitterness in the ifnish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Smooth, elegant and tasty. Very nice.

Handpump @Luppolo Station (Rome).

Bottle from the Westhill Service Station. It pours clear golden with a lasting, fluffy white head. The aroma is rather nuanced, hedgerow fruits, berry, grassy, earl grey tea, orange marmalade, bread, wood and hop sack. The taste is firmly dry, bitter, that lovely early grey tea thing comes to the fore, dry wood, grassy, leafy, hop sack, orange peel, florals, orange blossom and spice with a drying woody finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Really grew on me.

Bottle from Against The Grain. Hazy golden body with a thick off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of freshly cut grass and pear skin. Flavour of lemon, earth and plain crisps. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. Incredibly drinkable although Iโ€™d prefer if it had a touch more malt sweetness.

Cask at Mother Arch iii, 05/06/2026.
Clear deep golden topped with a lasting off white head.
Nose is fruit slice, hint of caramel, orange marmalade, straw.
Taste comprises fruit loaf, bready malts, light floral trace, biscuit, hint of fruit.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close spattered with mellow dusty hop bitterness.
Solid cask bitter ... up there with the best I've had.
