Bottle from the Weird Beard online shop. Hazy orange pour with a white head. Charred coals, citrus, whiff of mango in the nose. Taste is smoked bacon, citrus, apricot. Smoky sweet dry finish. Rather enjoying this one. An extremely good take on the style.

Bottle, many thanks chriso! Slightly unclear golden color with white head. Aroma is light ham, vegetal, grains. Taste is ham, grains, earthy hops. Silky mouthfeel with high carbonation. Not great. 6-3-6-3-10 - after swirling out the carbonation, it opens up and I like this much better. Hardly anything vegetal there anymore, just plain ham goodness! 7-3-7-3-14

Tap @ Taplokaal Gist. Almost clear golden color, short frothy head. Aroma of smoked sausage (rookworst), bit grainy malt. Slight smoked in taste, but more soft bitterness and grainy maltiness. Very enjoyable rauchbier. --- Beer merged from original tick of Smoke on 19 Feb 2018 at 09:13 - Score: 7. Original review text: Rookworst

Keg at the Cronx Bar, Croydon. Orange gold, slightly hazy with no head. Slightly banana-laden, floral and honeyed scent with the smoked malt more in the background than in many rauchbiers. Sweet taste but this doesn't hide the smokiness in the latter half of the sip. Gluey flavours in the short finish. A good and unusual beer for the style.

Draught keg at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell. This beer was a real game changer in my beer life. Literally tasted EXACTLY like bacon crisps. Like drinking pure bacon crisp. I’m not a huge fan of bacon crisps but I still love this more than near,y every other beer, it’s hugely intelligent and moreover, unlike most famous smoked beers, it is light, not malty with a bit of carbonation. Delightful from start to finish. Keg at Craft Beer co covent garden. A sweet finish. 4.7 to 4.3.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a hazy straw colour with a thin white head. The aroma is big roasty smoky salty bacon. The flavour is light bitter, earthy grainy herby malt with a light watery, acid, woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.
