Bottle at home. Aroma is strong spices and herbs, caramel malt, cinnamon, liquorice, some notes of star anise and so forth. Only a hint of hops, really. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Not a bad spiced herbal beer, but it’s not hoppy at all.

Bottle. Murky brown color. Malt, spices and dried citrusfruit in the aroma and flavor. Twigs. Grassy. Earthy. Sweetish. Spicy bittersweet finish. Good, but not for me.

33 cl bottle, BBE Oct 2018. Dark amber colour with a lightly tanned head. Sweet spiced aroma with mint, herbs, juniper berries and caramel malts. Taste is sweet. Medium bodied. Drying, herbal finish. The hops has faded. An odd flavoured beer.

[Copenhagen 2017] Sampled draft @ Taphouse as “Taphouse Lavendelslæde”. Dark brown, little white head. Nose is sweet spices, caramel, sugar mocha. Has some of the NL BE profile going with big spices, chocolate, mocha, bit soap. NL BE thicker bodied. Quite fair. Nothing USA hoppy about this and not a fan of alias / rebranded house beers at bars. Luckily this one was a new tick.

Bottle, 7.5% at KØ17. Distinct spicy aroma. Cloudy dark brown colour. Small white head. The flavour is quite spicy. Low to medium bitterness. Spicy finish as well. Sort of spicy, I guess, but quite good, actually.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy, dark, nutty brown with a small, off-white head. Spicy nose, not sure what. Medium body, dry caramel accents with a very bitter and astringent finish. Totally unpleasant. 020217
