12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market Darien. Pours a golden color with a very faint haze. Aroma of strong watermelon, watermelon candy, banana and floral notes. The taste is faint watermelon, pale malts and a faint hoppy finish. Medium bodied. I absolutely abhor watermelon but I’ll be able to finish this bottle, so I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.

Old rating from summer of 2011. Bottle poured into a pint glass. I tried to be as objective as possible, but this was as girly a beer as ive ever had, and not even refreshing in the heat, way too sweet for me.

Bottle from Half Time. Pours hazy dirty gold with an emphemeral fizzy white head. Smells pretty much like watermelon sticky candy. Med body. Flavor is watermelon candy. There’s some sugar in here. More than I’d think watermelon juice would account for. Makes me think of Jolly Rancher. Not that good for me.

Pours pale yellow into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Watermelon cube and marshmallow aromas. Soft with watermelon upfront turning to marshmallow and butterscotch in the medium length finish.

Palate: The body on this one is pretty light, but it is refreshing
Overall Impression: This one is good for fans of fruit beers (emphasis on fruit).

Bottle at the Governors Island BrewFest. If you like Watermelon Jolly Ranchers, you will love this beer. Pours reddish-brown with a foamy, white head. Big candy watermelon aroma. Super-sweet flavor, tastes just like a JR, with light tang. Light to medium in body with average carbonation. Finishes crisp, short and lightly sugary. A great fruit beer.

pours pinkish clear, thick white head. Aroma of watermelon, reminiscent of chewing-gum. Flavor, watermelon, light sugary, corn /sweetness mouthfeel with some bitterness. More like a soda pop with hints of malts, sweet fruit. Refreshing and not bad.
