Darker Belgian pour with fast creamy thin head. Smell is a little mossy. Creamy malty darker sweeter tasting thing. Almost cloying at times. Thicker malty bitter stuff. Certainly has a darker celtic side to it. Could only do one. Does not hide alky well. Mouth coating malt. Down thar wit Gray Irish Great Lakes Conway’s Irish Ale Samuel Adams Irish Red Ale Ohio Brewing Double Irish Red Carlow O’Hara’s Irish Red & Flying Bison Aviator. Could not appreciate.

This one doesn’t get much love since a fair amount of people know Shipyard owns it, but here goes:
Pours a light red and gives a darker red body with one finger white foamy head, some light slowly moving carbonation is seen rising; Smell is caramel malts up front, light hops,Taste is mainly sweet through previously mentioned flavors, Palate is light to medium, sessionable, caramel aftertaste
Overall, this is good for me and good for the style

Bottle. Pours with a clear copper hued body with a small off-white head that doesn’t last. Aromas are quite sweet, caramel/crystal malt, a good amount of fruity (British like) yeast esters, strawberries, light hops. A touch of vegital, DMS like aromas. Flavors are strongly of caramel, crystal malt, tea, lightly hoppy, iced tea. Bland, but not completely undrinkable. Medium bubbles, lower body. Really bland.

12oz bottle pours a nice clear deep rosy red amber with thin tan head. The aroma offers up dark fruity estery notes like various cherries and cherry hard candy as well as slight malty notes and spicy black licorice. The taste seems to beam with sweet cherry dark fruity esters and spicy black licorice. Man the more I drink the more anise and black licorice like spiciness I get along with lingering cherry candy notes. Interesting.

This beer pours amber-orange with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of bready malt and hops. Light body with flavors of sweet malt, caramel and mild hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle. Caramel malt and light hay aroma - very nice. Dark amber color with large off-white head. Slightly sweet caramel malt flavor with a hint of pepper and hay. Light body. Smells great but a bit of a let down in the flavor.
