On tap at DHVL. Pours murky red with no head. Red cherries on the nose. Flavour is super acidic, very tart cherries. Hardly distinguishable from red wine vinegar.

On tap at DHVL, pours a hazy dark red, no head. Aroma has nose hair-stripping balsamic notes and some tart cherries further back. Flavour is full of balsamic, enamel-stripping cherry acidity, and perfume. Well that’s harsh and unpleasant. Too balsamic-y and acidic. Not good at all.

Tap at Lambiczoon, Milan, Italy. Pours deep red, really attractive, no foam. Aroma is really intense of barn, arm pit, sweat, a little vinous. Body is kind of light, with very limited carbonation and medium astringency. Taste is medium-high sour, with some evident fruity sweetness behind. Final is fairly long with cherries.

Straight from the barrel @ De Troch Wambeek. 2009 lambic with 2009 cherries added. Reddish pink color. Marzipan and confit cherries in the aroma. Sour flavor with a moderate fruity sweetness. Flat. Amazingly complex. Oak in the finish. World class! Update: tasted the same beer from the same barrel again in august 2013. Has lost color but further gained complexity.
