Bottle. Bier Huis Ossett. Clear light to medium gold. Good thick white foam. Nose is herbal and grassy. Some privet clippings. Hint of pepper. Clean grain overall. Maybe a whiff of cereal sweetness. Taste has a touch of sweetness too, but is mostly grassy pepper bitterness. Drinks under the 5.8. Light bitter finish. Nice one.

From Stumpf Getränkmarkt, Ingelheim, in August 2023. Tasting this Bavarian product, yesterday for the lunch at night. On the way of the Löwenbrau Oktoberfest, malty, smooth, note of sweetness, full body, classic bitterness, watery finish, rate 3.6, 30.08.2024

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours crystal clear honey-gold with a creamy, white head. Effervescent. Medium sweet flavour with notes of sun-kissed grains, light caramel, very slight bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Fairly clean finish, bready, some cereal and fresh grains. Simple, enjoyable.

11/09/2023:
0.5l bottle from HB&B, as Zötler Festwochen-Bier. Clear golden, white head. Aroma of grainy malts, caramel hints. Taste is the same, grainy malts, mild caramel/toffee, light peppery hop spice, sweet but with a drying bitter finish. Pleasant enough.
27/10/2025:
0.5l bottle from Raynville, as Zötler Festbier. Didn't realise this was an alias when I bought it. Tasting identical so same rating as above.

Clear golden colour, white foam. Sweet, malty, bready, light bitter finish, very tasty on a summer barbecue.

Bottle online from The Trembling Madness. Label: Festwochen 5.8%. Pours a clear golden colour with a large thick throthy white head. Aromas of grains, hay, doughy white bread and medicinal notes. Taste has more grains, hay, doughy bread, a little honey and again slightly medicinal. Malty with no bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation and fairly smooth oily mouthfeel. Ok but there are many better Marzen out there.
