Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy orange color with a huge foamy orange-beige head that faded fairly quickly and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweet orange, lemon, must and coriander. The flavor was sweet and tangy orange, must and bread. The finish was long, and tart with lingering orange and bread. Fairly full bodied. Nicely done.

a really nice belgian white, more on the belgian ale side of things, bright and effervescent. darker in color and not quite as much spice in the yeast. very easy to drink, none of the off putting funk that comes from other witbiers. really nice.

12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy light gold, faint orange shows up a bit, huge white cakey head that starts to die down, eventually ends up a small layer, decent lacing. Aromas are heavy on orange zest and wheat behind a light coriander presence. Taste was a touch of citrus and faint banana clove. Initial is the lighter bodied, a sweet and spicey mix or orange peel, heavier coriander, flaked wheat provided a mellower sweetness.The overall taste was NOT impressive to me at all. I thought it lacked any real good flavors. MANY other better brews in this style. I would not buy again.

Lightly sweet and soft spices in the aroma. Similar flavor with light fruits, banana, and a touch of bubblegum. Finishes with a light sweet, spicy bite. Soft but active carbonation. Really a solid beer. I generally expect a harsher spice bite in witbiers, but this one works even with it’s toned down stance.

Big thanks to the litttle beer doctor for the chance to taste this brew. Pour is big darkish hefe with a big head that does not fade. Bubbly and light on the palate, easy and fun to drink. A little of what seems first to be a hop bite then it morphs into a malt bite then it seems to go away to reveal a quite refeshing beverage. Hides the 7% rather well for a wit. That reminds me, my label says double wit not double white. I guess the bitter bite I detect in the background comes from the alky. Again, goes down easy for a higher alky beer.

Draft. A decent wit. Nice, light citrus aroma. Flavor is crisp with some fruity and wheaty notes. Light to medium in body with a very clean finish. Refreshing but not too exciting.

Cloudy golden orange tinted body with a nice sized (five centimetre tall) slightly off-white head - looks exactly right for the style. Aroma of corn, coriander seed, curacao, nutmeg, a bit of peppercorn and a few grains of hay. Medium to Full-bodied; Deep strong potent alcohol and wheat flavour with a pronounced belgian yeast strain and a long-lasting meaty and curacao flavour - odd mix, but definitely noticeable. Aftertaste has some residual tannic and dry qualities, but the yeast and wheat wins out. Overall, a good beer for the style, strong and slightly more yeastie and dry than most wits, but definitely worth trying if you can find it! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Spirits on 25-July-2009 in Washington, DC, sampled at home here in Washington on 23-October-2009.

Bottle thanks to Cletus. Pours with a nearly clear yellow body with a fluffy, and somewhat large white head atop. Not nearly cloudy enough for a wit beer, but I digress. Aroma of coriander, dryness, light clove, fresh tobacco, tumbleweed, jasmine, lemon peel and a touch of candi sugar. Interesting. Taste starts off sweet and fruity with citrus notes, and ends bone dry and spicy. Yeast reminds me a lot of the Unibroue yeast. Candi sugar notes. Bubbly mouthfeel. Interesting "wit".

A hazy golden wit with a thin white head. A nice fruity aroma, banana, a bit of catnip. In mouth, a nice light oily mouth, fruity esters, bananas and cloves, rather silky. Medium bodied. Tap at BCTC 2009

12 oz bottle from eaglefan538. Pour is hazed golden yellow with a noisy 2 inch white head. Falls quickly with no lacing. Aroma of wheat, straw, some sweet cherry fruitiness near the back. Taste is honey sweet cherries out of the gate, with some slick wheat behind that. Finish lingers quite a bit, with a sharpness and some alcohol heat. The sweetness on this is pretty cloying.
