This is the only pale fire happening tonight, a roaring one is needed to cope with the cold snap temperatures to start the New Year. Clear golden coloured, crisp, identifiable pale ale texture and taste with a slight dryness. Hoppy, mildly skunky in this respect in both aroma and taste, but not a problem. Session material with a citrus base..

Can. Slightly hazy gold with a white head that fades slowly. Aroma of peach, mango, cracker bread. Bittersweet such the fruit doesn’t get cloying. Getting a bit peppery towards the end too. Good.

Hopfiger, trocken bitterer Antrunk. Leicht herb, etwas Limette, steigend bitter. Würzig, süffig aber monoton. Mittellanger Abgang. 9/9/9/9/10/9

Can. Yellow color. Grapefruit, pineapple and grass in the aroma. Grassy flavor with citrus. Thinnish. Just a hint of sweetness. Pleasant.

Keg at Mother Kellys. Twig heavy, but still alright. Minerals, light fruit, bit of apricot. But not very exciting to be honest. --- Beer merged from original tick of Pale Fire on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:05 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7.
