(Can 35,5 cl) Courtesy of madsberg. Slightly hazy amber golden with an off-white head. Fresh, lightly citrusy aroma. Medium body, lightly sweet caramel and a somewhat unrefined and one-dimensional hopping. So the promises of the aroma aren’t really fullfilled. 270607

Pours dark amber into a shaker. Fluffy off-white head slowly recedes leaving no lacing. Pine, resin and grapefruit aromas. Watery malt up-front with a lasting pine finish.

She got cans, she knows how to use them. This hag never begs, she knows how to choose them. She pours dark reddish amber, pretty clear but dark enough to allow only medium clarity. So she shows you a lot but only in the right light. What a tease. At first this hag gives a big head but as usually after a little bit of time it just becomes a medium lacing with slight stickiness. Aroma is what seems to almost have become common place now with American IPAs. Hoppiness mixed with caramel maltiness. Hops are tropical fruit and caramel is pretty strong. Taste takes the idea but mixes the two elements very well. Medium bitterness throughout all the flavor. Light earthy roastiness at the end of the flavor. Aftertaste is sweet hops and bittered caramel. Man this hag likes to tease you with sweetness and bitterness. A perfectly medium body with light tickling on the roof of the mouth.

Thanks to beastiefan2k for this gift - put aside the fact that the design/font on the can seems more appropriate for an energy drink - drink it. it’s good? - indeed, but how good? - nice copper hue with sticky lace - very fresh (green?) hop aroma, with lots of grass/pine/hay characteristics, and background bready malt - medium bodied - crisp bitterness couples with semi-dry, biscuity malt flavors (think traditional english bitter with the hop profile increased) - some breadiness and light honey creeps in afterwards, but for the most part this remains a rather dry beer - some light mineral/hard water/burton quality crops up near the finish, after which the beers thins out a little - another decent IPA, because lord knows the world needs more of those.

Can from jah noth. Hazy copper body, medium creamy off-white head. Rich hoppy aroma with citrus, pine, and earthy notes, backed by sweet malts. Toasty body with notes of Cheerios and bitter, piney hops. Well-balanced and complex. The rich malt character really lifts this beer; this could pass for a hopped-up Irish Ale.

Very hazy deep cherry brown body with a small creamy off-white head. Strong floral hops aroma. Floral hops dominating the flavor with a light caramel background.

Very encouraging amount of head. Two or three fingers of it fills up the glass and I have to wait to pour the rest. Off-white and slow to recede, never falling below cover. Light lacing in patches. Clear copper-gold body has a hint of peach hue to it. Quite a bit of carbonation noted in the liquid.
Initially quite dry and bitter, I’m a bit taken aback. It’s not overly aromatic, it seems, and while the yeast is clean, the malt adds a bit of toastiness that detracts from the brightness (but then, it’s an East coaster, so can you really complain?). Some pine resin, and a bit of juciy floral notes come to the rescue. Aroma strength increasing, with even some noble hop herbal notes (dill, oregano) apparent, though adding little in the face of the citrusy cascades, but I was just hoping for more variation, with less malt apparency.
The flavor goes the same way, unfortunately, and I’m about to write it off as another IPA with the hop bitterness outdoing the hop flavor/aroma, but very late, after some breathing and warming, some definite cherry and watermelon notes emerge. Quite delicious and joined by an almost sweet wintergreen-like note. By this time, the palate has accustomed to the breadiness of the crystal malts and the pale malts are left, combining with this newfound fruitiness to produce candied cherry, orange and more melon notes. Quite delicious. Medium amounts of carbonation, not overly loose or annoying for being forced. Medium body, slightly sticky texture at times. Definitely improved greatly towards the end. Will have to try it again soon.

Can. Nice aroma, but I smell malts jumping right out at me. Sure, some hoppiness, but maltiness in the nose of an IPA certainly means a less hoppy version of my favorite style. Yep, malts are there... a decent amount of hops, but the malts definitely stick out.
