0,33 flaske delt med skibsrederen under båtpuss på Fridtjofen, juli-18: lett uklar solgylden med fint skum som varer. Herlig citrusfrisk aroma og smak, uten det minste spor av Simcoekatten. God maltkropp og drikkeglede hele veien. Litt slapp i ettersmaken. Arbeidslysten trenger seg på!

Sample at MBCC 2018. Poured a hazy straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is malt, grassy hop, light barnyard yeast. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light, slightly watery, crisp, light fruit, dry hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Little hazy dark blond to beige beer, small irregular creamy off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: pretty fruity, bit piny, sweet malts, some caramel, sweet pineapple. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: very fruity, pineapple, bit sweet, nice bitterness, hint of citrus, bit resinous. Aftertaste: very bitter, citrus, some grapefruit, resinous, some tropical fruits, papaya, mango, nice stuff!

Draft glass @ Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Lazy warm day. MF Doom, Nas, Wu-Tang Clan,.... playing the background. Brussels seems to be becoming cutely more hipster late, I saw a guy with a Breaking Bad tattoo on his calf & a ponytail. Great stuff. Clear golden, thick stable white head. Nose is mellow citrus, oddly heavy on cereal. Taste is easy big cereal, cornflakes profile with lemon hop,s mellow, quite mild, low sweet from the cereal. Bit lively. Totally different from what I expected, not bad even if a bit too mild, cereal forward for me.

Draft @ ML Fontainas. Dorée, col crémeux beige tenace. Arôme superbement bien houblonné - très bel effet de pin avec des effluves légères d’agrumes. Malté se note juste en rétro tirant sur le pâle. Palais rend très bien l’effet de Simcoe avec un petit effet huileux qui s’entrechoque dans les notes de pins et autres agrumes, restant dans un style classique mais superbement bien exploité pour un single hop. Le tout sur une base pâle demeurant agréable et permettant au houblon de bien être mis en avant.

Growler, shared @ Potjepalooza.bright golden with a white head. aroma is very fresh, quiite hoppy, grass, herbal, grain, straw, hay, unions, garlic. Taste is medium sweet, fresh, yeast, malts, citrus, onions, garlic, smooth, medium bitterness, soft, smooth, nice hoppy finish.
