Copper color with a sweet malty aroma. Taste is sweet caramel, malty and finishes with a crisp, dry floral hop bitterness.

12 oz. can from Total Wine - Greenville, SC. Pours a clear dark amber color with a khaki head and good retention. Very light lacing. Virtually no aroma. The flavor has some subtle caramel malt and not much else. Crisp enough mouthfeel with a soft finish. Light+ body. A little sweet with no bitterness. No acidity like a lot of amber ales. Good but forgettable.

Look, I am not a fan of heavy amber ale, so ignore the numbers. This is good IPA, no lie. This bottle pours darker but not too Dark. It looks more like iced tea. Typically ale-ish, you know, like many typical ruff ales. Malty, pretty coo I'd say. Bitter builds. Becomes a little medicinal; in the end. A little viscous on the palate throughout.

Bottle from Publix Supermarket, Lexington, South Carolina. Dark clear amber with a small carbonation and a very thin head. Strongish, with this brew at 5.8%, but a robust light fruitiness is also evident. Hops too.

Sampled on tap at the brewery, pours a clear amber with some ringing, cream colored head. Nose is meh, some soggy cracker, some malt, a little wet dog. Flavor is the same, crackers, mild apple, soggy bread. A bit sweet too. Watery finish.
