Bottle sampled at a tasting event. From notes. Tart and sour. Green apples with a hint of sweet red apple. Not bad.

Bottle from New Beer Distributors. Pale gold/straw color. A bit on the lively side. Smells of a blend of green apple & grape Jolly Ranchers, cut with boxed apple juice. Slightly musty. Mellow eating apples, melon, gum, plastic, big sulfites, & something "naturally flavored" that’s not too far from cream soda. Mild acidity & tartness. Not really all that dry. Moderate, crispy carbonation. Dusty/powdery texture on the finish. Actually preferable over ice. It helps cut the ugly.

Sampled from a 12 oz clear bottle this cider poured a very pale yellow-clear color with a medium white seltzer head hat faded very quickly. The aroma was dryish and musty with notes of grape, faint apple and champagne. The flavor was dry and bitter with tart apples and a yeasty undertone. Medium finish and very light body. Overall more like champagne than cider.

Pour is a pee yellow with a short fizzy head. Aroma is apples and white wine. Flavor is sugar some and granny smith apples. Finish is watery and dry. An ok cider and nothing artifical stands out.

Loose bottle, $1.80 @ Binny’s. Nice fizz when pouring, good apple juice smell. Very clear, no sediment in the clear bottle. Nice apple taste. Not much of a cider, I guess, but I can’t find much to complain about. Certainly not dry enough to be called "brut."

Bottle from Whole Foods - Short Pump on 10/31/2010. Very clear very pale straw body with a small fizzy white head that quickly diminishes. Very light apple aroma with some vanilla notes. Sweet apple flavor with some vanilla notes. Light body with moderately high carbonation.

One thing that makes me awe at apple cider is its super pure filtered appearance. Clear and clean, real clean looking; well at least in this big thick glass mug. Perhaps even cleaner looking than pure filtered or distilled icy water. Makes me admire it while I drink it. Smell is very pleasant apple bordering on weird imitation background, but in a good way. The smell is at times instantly repulsive then turns your head for a second whiff, weird reaction. First taste is somewhat plastic. Smoooth and intriguing. A little watery perhaps, but most all cider i’ve tasted is usually thin. Decent carbonation almost comes across like weak soda water. Careful, now, this stuff is more than 5%. Interesting sweet taste. Never is overwhelming. Has a dry wine or alky finish. Sometimes almost gets near soapy. Overall good experience, just I suspected it would be.

bottle - Pours clear gold with a minimal head and a fresh green apple aroma. It has a rich apple flavor and compared to the "light" that I had before it is much more substantial. I don’t know that I’d call it "extra dry" like the bottle says. I still find it rather sweet, but granted it’s not as sweet as their other offerings. There is a little dryness in the finish. Good cider.
