Flesje thuis gedronken. Donkerbruin bier met matig schuim dat snel weg trekt. Aroma van karamel en pruimen. Ook de smaak is karamel-achtig. Jammer dat het bier geen nasmaak heeft.

Geproefd bij de BeerXperience Oirschot 2016(?) Het heeft een donker roodbruine kleur. Het aroma is moutig en wat zoet. De smaak is zoetig met tonen van drop.

Sample from bottle at Wijnhuis Ede bierproeverij april 13, 2018. Color: Ruby, light brown head. Taste: A doppelbock as it should be. Medium sweet, roasted malt, caramel, hints of raisins.

Creamy tan head left a blotchy cover on a dark oak oak coloured still body. Boozy aroma of malt, spices, demerara & dark spirits. Full bodied, smooth & greasy on the palate with a tickle down the throat & cloying aft. Strong tastes of dark spirit, spices, brown sugar, Christmas cake, prunes & berry.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg. Red brown with a beige head. Caramel aroma with dark fruits and some roasted malts. Sweet, multi-layered taste. Really nice doppelbock with a Belgian twist.

Bottle at The Fiddler, Den Haag. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a frothy off white head. The aroma is sweet roasty malt, red berry fruits, dry hop. The flavour is moderate sweet with a sweet malt, fruity, liquorice alcohol bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Tap at Rootz festival. Clear mahogany with beige head. Plums, sweet malts, light sour berries, soft roast, toffee, cocoa. Medium sweet and bitter, light sour. Over medium bodied. I quite like this.

Bottle @ home. Brown colour with a medium to large sized, frothy, beige head. Smells and tastes nice dark malts, chocolate, caramel, sweet, some broen breadcrust, slightly toasty. Quite nice, did not expect this. Medium body, soft carbo.
