A golden ipa with a thick frothy lacing white head. In aroma, light biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, restrained, OK. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, light grapefruit pulp, decent. On tap at Molly Malloys.

On tap at Black Squirrel’s NKOTB event pours a clear orange with a ring of white head. Nose has orange, soap, heavy grass, heavy pith. Flavor is harsh, overly pithy, a touch industrial, a faux sweetness too. Astringent finish. This needs work.
A bit watery and too malty.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than about twenty seconds. Light lacing speckled the glass.
The smell had a soft sweet slightly spiced piney hops overcoating a multitude of nose smacking sweet malts.
The taste was mainly sweet between the malts and the hops displacing the bitterness from the quality. A light sweet malty aftertaste leads into a quick semi-dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed pretty subdued for an AIPA. It doesn’t seem to have the bitterness I expected for an AIPA.
Overall, to me, this one was just okay as an AIPA I was hoping for more bitterness. I might have again depending upon the situation.

On tap at Ward 8 Nice head, clear golden color. Citrus and pine on the nose. Somewhat creamy mouthfeel. Nice IPA from a brewery I just heard of today.

From a bottle has little ipa aroma, just dull hops for the most part on the nose. And yea, ditch the west coast thing. Call it west grove style if you want to use the word west in there. Looks like any other pale beer except it has a somewhat thin staying creamy head. Rather astringent from the start. Yes, that sharp piercing bitter thing really hits the back of the throat and annoyingly hangs there. If I didn’t know better, I would put this in the piercing pilsner style. Rude and difficult, tho it has that piercing bitter pilsner thing happening, its way over the top. Difficult? Did I say difficult? Same with finish, not impressed. Finish is simly long bitter sharp thing that is quite unattractive.

Bottle. Orange and orange peel aroma. Yellow with nice off-white head. Sweet orange-caramel malt and moderately bitter orange peel flavor. Standard IPA - not bad but pretty standard.
