Brewed with 50% wheat malts and real German wheat yeast, resulting in a nice and cloudy beer. Normally, wheat beers are not that bitter, but we like it with a little more character, resulting in an outspoken yet easy drinkable beer with not too much alcohol.

Thuis gedronken uit fles. Mooie donkere kleur voor een gewone weizen. Smaakvol, niks mis mee. Prima laag alcoholpercentage.

Huge amberish-tinted head, quite stable over copper-golden beer, hazy once appropriately shaken. Nose with only very moderate Weizen features, some banana; toast, rainwater, fresh herbs. Not very Weizen at all, rather more like amber lager. Taste is much more Weizen, with banana, clove and wheat obvious. Gets sweeter, fruit/banana warming up. Feels very carbonated indeed, lots of wheatslickness; Pretty good Ur-weizen, the nose excepted.

Bottle from Albert Heijn, Den Haag. Poured a hazy straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is light banana mineral. The flavour is acid citrus with a light crisp refreshing mineral aspirin citrus palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle at home. Slight hazy dark golden with short lasting white head that leaves a big ring. Cloves, some spices, mineral water, fried banana, light grains. Light sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with quite some carbonation. Not terrible, but not good at all for a weizen.

Bottle, courtesy of Douberd, many thanks! Hazy orange color with white head that goes down quickly. Aroma is banana, some physalis, stone fruit or melon maybe. Taste is physalis (surprising!), refreshing, fruity. Silky mouthfeel of a Weizen. Interesting and fruity Hefeweizen! The finish is a bit earthy-bitter, which doesn’t fit in the whole picture imo. Interesting stuff still!
