A full-flavored amber ale made with roasted caramel malt. Richly colored and medium-bodied, Alleycat is an assertive blend of malts with a sprightly cascade of hops.

Reviewed from notes.
Bottle to nonic.
Appearance: amber color with a one finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: some grassy hops and light citrusy hops, caramel/toffee malts
Flavor: somewhat bittersweet through the prior noted aromas; mild finish of the malts and the citrusy hops
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable, some smoothness, light hop brush assertiveness
Overall: one of their better beers and one I could possibly return to.

Bottle from Mitsuya's. Very clear, golden amber colour, bubbly golden head. Aroma is doughy, but of spice, bready malt. Maybe slightly floral. Taste is quite subtle and maybe a bit one dimensional, but quite nice. Bit of caramel, bit of malt. Quite smooth. Just a hint of a hoppy prickle at the end. Quite simple but nice and easy drinking. Maybe it lost a bit of spike in the trip over here, but I still like it.
