Draught @ Flyers Restaurant & Brewery, Oak Harbor, WA. Pours a clear amber color with a small white head. Malty fruity caramel aroma with hoppy hints. Sweetish malty caramel flavor with hoppy hints. Sweetish malty caramel finish with a hoppy aftertaste.

Clear copper amber body with a small creamy light tan head. Caramel and molassas aroma, light floral hops. Floral flavor, light caramel, somewhat tea-like. Medium light body with moderate carbonation.

Light caramel malt aroma. Darkish amber color with a bubbly beige head. Medium bodied with slightly fizzy carbonation. Starts sweetish, seeming accompanied by floral/herbal hop. It is definitely fruity. The finish is a bit harshly roasted malt, with a balancing amount of floral/veg bitter. Bitter tends to build, so it’s quite good.

This beer came in my beer club. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a reddish-amber color with a medium sized orange-white head. The aroma was sweet, malty and a bit vegetal with a fairly strong fruity and floral hop element. The flavor was sweet and malty though again a bit vegetal with a spritzy fruity hop presence.

Bottle: Clear amber pour with a small white head and no lacing. Nose is mild of maltiness and light citrus hops. Taste is again mild, but blends citrus hops with a light fruitiness and malty backer. Although well balanced, this one is not real intense in flavor.

Bottle from World Markets Summer Pack Caramelly, citrusy malt nose; copper amber color with almost no off-white head; caramel malt flavor with a decent hop bite, lingering into the finish.

Hazy amber color with multi color head. It was off white with some brown mixed in. A first for me. Initially very nice fresh caramel aroma. About as caramelly as I’ve experienced. There is also a hint of bready yeast. Pleasant enough taste. Sweet, a bit watery, caramel and toffee notes. A mild lingering bitterness in the finish. I also detect a slight bready and buttery-ness that adds rather than detracts from the taste profile. OK amber. Not nearly my favorite

Amber but tinted red. Fading unimpressive head. Rough carbonation. Inviting aroma, if mild. A warming caramelized-molasses notes, with an nice citric hop in the background, but very mildly stated. Pretty bland, with only a mild touch of sweeter malts up front, leading into a plain, balanced finish. This pretty much epitomizes what makes the standard micro amber ale such a boring and forgettable beer. Still, it is well put together and is pretty drinkable, save for the rough bubbles.

Pour is a dark red with a small white head. Aroma is malt aroma and some oily hops. Flavor is a malty caramel with a touch of hops for a nice mouthfeel. Maybe a bit watery but good for a session.
