Here is a father’s toast to his son. Brewed with cocoa nibs and lactose, Hunter boasts a creamy texture and rich chocolate flavor. Vanilla, roast, and caramel sweetness are met with a bright hop bitterness. Complex enough to pair with dinner or dessert. Suave enough to skip the meal altogether. A chip off the old block, alright.

Can from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Aroma is huge dark chocolate with roasted malt, cocoa, some coffee, espresso, more dark chocolate. Flavour is medium sweet with a solid roasty bitterness. Body is full. Nice big load of chocolate, pretty straightforward but quite tasty.

16oz can. Really great can art, bonus points for that. Massive rusty beige head, steady. Sugary, way too sweet. No real finesse, just boatloads of sugary adjuncts...and the flavor still isn't that great. Not that good.

Can, 473ml. Almost black with a cm of tan head that crackles away at a fair clip. Floaty roasty aroma with caramel, chocolate and then vanilla. The the taste kind of works the other way - vanilla first, then chocolate and caramel, then roast and spiced bitterness. Not remotely like an imperial stout but I did like its balance.

Pint can from Festival Northland, 3/25/22. Stoutfest eve stoutfest. Near black, thin fizzy brown head, poor retention. Looks slick. Aroma of chocolate, roast. Taste is chocolate, soy, roast, cherry. Smoke in the end. Slick, a little off balance. Solid.

Appelstroop, roast, noten. Eigenlijk helemaal niet wat ik had verwacht van een double milk stout with lactose and cacao nibs. Iets alcohol. Beetje als het basisbier van Moersleutel

Sample at Daily Growler UA during the Bowling Green Beer Works Columbus Debut event on 02/28/2020. Brown-black pour with a medium beige head that dissipates steadily to a film. Small patches of lace. Aroma of coffee, chocolate and malt. Medium body with flavors of roast coffee, caramel malt and cocoa. The finish is roasty and creamy with a coffee and malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
