It is a Belgian-style Pale Ale with an American twist. It is brewed with pale, caramel, and wheat malts, and hopped with centennial and Cascade hops to give it a distinctly American character. The medium bodied beer has a crisp palate and moderate bitterness coupled with the fruity esters from the abbey yeast strain. It is bottle and keg conditioned so expect a tall fluffy head and a small amount of sediment. Recipe by brewer, Jeff Musselman.

Draught from tiger, farily sweet & fruity with a palish yellowy pour. Ok but nothing i’m all that thrilled about.

Notes from January 2011 Baby growler from New Beer. Rounded pint glass pour. Whitewash lace lathers the sides of the glass, leaving grimy lace in its' wake. Iced tea in color, but hazed in appearance. Note: This beer for some reason, made me sneeze a lot. At first sniff, earthy & woody. There's caramel, but no real sticky resin. Dry malt. Light orange rind. A whole lot of Lysol as well unfortunately. Taste is a bit of a challenge to pin down. Pepper & watered down pineapple juice. Cider sweetness. Saltines & lingering pine. Ethanol & dirty grain on the finish. Please don't mind the heavy-handed description, it all comes together pretty decent like. What was adequate carbonation starts falling flat early, but it's still plenty frothy. Bitterness seems higher then indicated. Of course it's dry. Alcohol seems to have been mistaken(feels high 7ish). Good enough to continue with(at least until the growler runs out). Good beer that is just a bit too hot.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks David C. Slightly hazy deep golden. Fruity aroma with malt, some caramel and candy-ish notes. Sweetish flavor, fruity, slightly caramelly, slightly spicy, with a drier finish. Medium-bodied.

Nice Belgian pale. Pours cloudy orange with ok head and lacing. Light florals and Belgian yeast and some citrus hops here. Finishes with light bitterness. Well-balanced session Belgian ale. Bottle.

Daft. Hazy amber color, tan head. Aroma of brown sourdough bread and grass. Taste is a bit messy.

As ’Zotten’ Hazy amber beerb with a lively frothy head. Light nose of yeast and a trace of banana. Light soft and semi dry palate. Soft banana cream with a healthy dash of white pepper spice. A light touch of hoppy peaches and grapefruit at the end. Overall a sweetish beer tempered by the spicy notes. Pretty decent.

Bottle. Light amber with a slight haze. Thin head. The aroma is very floral, fruity with a vibrant acidity that really brings this beer to life.
