This ale’s strength is it’s simplicity. We use copious amounts of Columbus hops which really shine through. Unfiltered and unpretentious.

Can: Poured a yellow color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy and bitter hops notes are dominating. Taste is a mix of citrus hops notes with some bitter hops notes and some dry malt. Body is average with good carbonation. Middle of the road old school IPA.

Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. Light grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and light caramel flavor with light pine. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine linger with light dark malts.

Clear golden coloured body with a peach tint and a thinnish, one centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of fresh, light alpha acid hops with some grapefruit, pine, earth, lemons and a bit of alcohol also noticeable here. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong bitter flavour of resin, grapefruit, pine and flowers coupled with some light malt, a touch of cleanser and a lot of funky strong flavours. Aftertaste shows more of the funk and super pungency than anything else, with a good deal of alcohol, but way more alcohol and pungent bitterness coming through than anything else. Overall, a decent beer at best, but the hops are too thin, the complexity is gone and the pungency and bitterness is off the charts, and not in a traditional IPA sense, this is just pungent and strong. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Hannaford in Portland, Maine on 30-July-2016 for US$9,99/six pack sampled at home in Washington on 24-September-2016.

Bottle at home in Salisbury - grabbed at Julio’s in MA. Pours mostly clear, deep gold with a moderate, frothy off-white head. The aroma holds dirty grass, dry bread, orange rind and mild grapefruit. Light to medium sweet with dirty leaves, toasted grass, light pine, dried bready malts. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Further rindy bitterness to finish, mildly sweet with tangerine, melon, grapefruit, bitter pine cones, grass, earth. OK.

Reviewed from notes. Consumed 06/16/12.
The appearance is a golden brown body gave a small white head appeared for less than twenty seconds. It showed little carbonation. Barely any lacing was shown.
The smell was based around the hops with some slight citrus notes. A bit of pine was combined with the malts.
The taste has some citrus in front of the hops with the pine notes taking more of a background.
The palate is basically a medium with a smooth yet tingly sort of feel.
Overall, this was a pretty good beer. I would have it again.

A hazed golden amber ipa with a thin off white head. In aroma, biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, grapefruit, OK. In mouth, a crisp biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, resinous, nice. Bottle at Brooklyn Pour 2013.

12oz bottle. Hazy unfiltered orange-tan. Foamy uniform off-white head. Mellowish lemon, pine aroma. A pretty solid East Coast IPA, nice grapefruit rind hop flavor. Toasty, fresh malt backbone. Really well balanced, with a crisp, solid hop bite. Well done.
