From tap. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is grassy, light citrusy. Crisp hoppy. Bitter and smooth fruity. Bitter and crisp hoppy into the finish.

Trübes goldgelbes Bier mit einer mittelgroßen weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch getreidig malzig, dezent hopfig. Geschmack süß malzig, getreidig, popcorn unausgewogen.

Ein süffiges Zwickelbier, das sich durch seine Hopfigkeit überraschte. Hier schaffte man es wirklich ein hopfiges Zwicklbier zu brauen, ohne dass es abstrus wirkt. Der malzige Körper bleibt und erhält einen leicht herben Kopf. Offenbar gibt es das Bier inzwischen nicht mehr, was recht schade ist, da es Biere mit solchen Charakteristika selten gibt.

Tastes like some kind of candied malt. Pours orange with ok head and lacing and finishes a little sweet. Some noble hops. Tap at the bar down the street from Meridian Pint.

Bottle. Golden, hazy body, with a medium, creamy, frothy, white head, that leaves some lacing. Aroma of grains, hay, honey, some herbs. Taste with the same aromas. Mouthfeel is medium to light, slick, with a lively carbonation and it finishes medium bitter, with grains and herbs. Nice Zwickl. Overall nothing special, but with a fresh, natural, grainy flavour.

On draft at rustico Akexandria VA. Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a fine thick white head. Aroma if pineapple. Bread dough flavors.

Bottle at Pizzeria Paradiso Dupont, courtesy of Greg - thanks! Hazy pale yellow color, small white head. Aroma of dilute starw and lemonade. Taste is dilute bitter lemon and hay soup.

Churchkey, DC tap ($6.50): Pours a cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma is of dry German hops with some grass, bread and a little bit of yeast. The beer’s taste is quite well-balanced. Bready malts are there along with the dry German hops providing a good amount of bitterness. The yeast is present around the finish of the beer. Very crisp and easy drinking, but also has some complexity and unique character.
