You are about to enjoy Lightning Brewery’s Sauerstorm Ale, a German-style Berliner Weisse - a beer style characteristic of summer beer from the Berlin area of Germany. Traditionally this beer is served with a dash of tart raspberry syrup to enhance both beer and fruit flavors. We have brewed this beer with pilsner malt, malted wheat, water, hops and yeast. Please note Sauerstorm Ale is bottled unfiltered for greater flavor. If you like more haze in your beer, you may gently roll the bottle before decanting to your glass.

Bottle. Cloudy and milky yellow color, small but thick white head, solid lacing - a classic Berliner weisse appearance. Aroma pf dusty lemon, raw sourdough bread. Taste is softly sour lemon bread and subtle white pepper. Very nice. Could use a tad more brett character, but very nice.

Bomber from Charleston Beer Exchange. Pours a hazy orange color with a thin fizzy tan head. Below average head retention. Aroma of bready malts, apples and caramel. The taste is bready malts, a vegetal note, herbal hops and a very faint tartness. Medium bodied, low carbonation. A little bit on the bland side.
