Our Jalapeño Pale Ale is in a class of its own. We start by brewing Free Will Pale Ale, and then add in a hefty dose of fresh-picked jalapeño peppers with the seeds removed, so you can enjoy a subtle flavor and the aroma of the green peppers without the heat.

Can from the hotel cooler. Pours hazy golden, medium creamy white head, dissipates slowly, good lacing. Aroma is peppery for sure, hints of biscuit malt. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, prominent pepper notes but no real heat. Light plus body. Quite pleasant actually.

Ok, it’s fairly decent as a jalapeno ale, but its not so good as a pale ale as I can detect very little hops in aroma or flavor.

Shared 16 oz. can. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Jalapeno pepper nose. Taste is largely jalapeno, light malt, hint of citrus. Mildly spicy finish. Not bad.

Draft - Jalepeno jelly sweetness, hazy gold with a decent white head. Jalepeno , nice sweetness and a clean finish without the residual heat. Not bad.

On tap @ Birdsong with jcnielsen. Pours a touch hazy golden appearance with an off white head. Quite a bit of spicy peppers in the nose. Some vegetal notes as well. A touch of creamed corn. Flavor again kind of has a corn tortilla thing going on. Peppers come through nicely in terms of moderate heat but just to before forward for my palate.

A hazed blonde ale with a thin white head. In aroma, jalapeno pepper over biscuit malt, light veggie notes. In mouth, biscuit malt over pepper with grassy notes, so so.

Location: Draft @ Revolution, 12/9/12, Spice/Herb/Vegetable Rating #100
Aroma: The nose is a little hoppy, with some malty notes, and some mild pepper
Appearance: It pours a light cloudy golden color, lasting white head, heavy lace
Flavor: The pepper comes out more in the flavor and meshes well with the mid-bitter hop presence
Palate: The body is medium, it has a creamy feel, average carbonation, and a dryish finish
Overall Impression: Quality stuff. I really enjoyed this beer, and found it to be both enjoyable and well-made. I have very few complaints here.

Draft af the source. Hazy yellow color, small white head, solid lacing. Arona of straw and subtle you-know-what. Taste has the spice and flavor of the pepper without the heat. Nice.
