This light refreshing wheat beer is sure to delight. Our special yeast and blend of malted and unmalted wheat provide the haze in our unfiltered style ale. This beer is traditionally served with a lemon slice on the side.

Hazy orange coloured body with a thin off-white head. Aroma of wheat, curacao, yeast and a good amount of unfinished sugars. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong yeast and wheat flavours shown up front with a little sweetness and a bit of hay in the mix. Aftertaste shows some light grassy and herbal notes, some light sugars and a touch of citrus and orange tastes. Overall, not such a great wheat - not horrible either, but not really a keeper. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 09-November-2011 for US$1.99 sampled at home on the Eastern Shore of Virginia on 12-November-2011.

A hazed blonde ale with a thick lacing and creamy off white head. A strong mineral aroma, with herbal notes, off notes. In mouth, a boring wheat ale with honey malts, faint hops, light bodied. On tap at PA Flavor, April 9th, 2011.

Served on draft at the Gettysburg location. Pours a faintly hazy amber color with a medium head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma is biscuity and bready notes with some citrus. The taste is bread, caramel, citrus and a pepper note. Medium bodied. I liked this one.

Location: Updating this rating with a draft sampling from the Brewpub, Harrisburg location, 6/13/10

Aroma: Nose of yeast, spice, citrus
Appearance: Pours a hazy orange color
Flavor: Taste was wheat/yeast, lemon, spice
Palate: It has a light-medium body
Overall Impression: This was a little better then I had previously rated it so I'll give it a slight bump upward...2.7 to 2.8

Sept 2008 Beer of the Month Club

Aroma: Citrusy and sweet
Appearance: Clear, yellowish thin head, cloudy
Overall Impression: This is a nice solid wheat beer, nothing overly special, but nice for it's style...

From a bottle at the Bocktown. Good wheaty aroma, has some lager attributes. Rather clear for a wheat beer, has that ubiquitous beer color appearance. Mild hefe flavors, actually has some grassy and wet hay flavors. Decent carbonation. Slightly below the average in fizziness. Easy to like with no oppressive personalities. Nice session stuff.

Bottle. Pours a dingy brass color with a bout one finger of white head that dies quickly. Aromas are faint and boring. A generous judge might say they picked up some bread dough in the nose. Flavor is a little better: grain and doughy wheat with a touch of sweetness. There is little or no development of flavors or complexity, however.

Draft at the Gettysburg location, July 2006. An unclear orange beer with a thin white head. The aroma is very "beery", not at all like a wheat beer, more like an industrial pilsner. The flavor is sweet wheaty and a slightly malty background, combined with light notes of citrus, leading to a slightly bitter end. A nice starter beer after a long days sightseeing in Gettysburg Memorial Park, with nothing to drink but water

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a clear golden color with a trace of a white head. The aroma is faintly grainy. The body is light. The flavor is tangy sour malts with a pale lager element and a dry finish.
