Bottle pour into pint glass from Whole Foods. Aroma is sour yeast, very Kolsch-like. Appearance is hazy greenish yellow with nice sparkle, finger-width frothy white head with good retention but minimal lacing. Taste is mainly tart with mild citrus sweet ending. Palate is medium bodied with thin texture, soft carbonation with late lively zing to tongue and tart finish as above. Overall, the sour side of wheat beers, which is not my favorite.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 5/9/2015. Pours hazy/cloudy bright golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon, orange, pear, apple, light banana, pepper, wheat, cracker, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt, fruity yeast, and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, orange, pear, apple, light banana, pepper, wheat, cracker, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness and slight bready tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange, pear, apple, light banana, pepper, wheat, cracker, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of pale malt, earthy hops, and fruity yeast flavors; with a great malt/yeast/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.4%. Overall this is a very good pale wheat ale style. All around good robustness and balance of pale malt, earthy hops, and fruity yeast flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

12 oz bottle poured. A little frustrated, I bought this beer a couple days ago at Total Wine, and now I see it’s about two months past the best by date. Frusterated, yes. Suprised, no. The fact that this claims to be bottle conditioned in huge hold letters on the bottle makes me feel better about rating under these conditions, though I will update this rating if I ever come across a fresh bottle. Pours a cloudy pale yellow with. A ton of foam head. Grainy, grassy wheat aroma. Thick body with some sweet grassy flavor and lemon. Nothing here offends me. Still enjoyable. UPDATE: bottle gifted by beastie. Still missed the best by date, but only by a day this time. Does this beer only last a couple weeks? Anway, I enjoyed it a little bit more the second time around. Adjusting the material accordingly.

Poured a cloudy golden color with a medium sized fluffy white head. Aroma was light wheat, grains, sweet crisp lemon zest. Flavor was light lemon, wheat notes. Some light bitterness. A touch refreshing, but lacking something a bit in the finish.

Refreshing, however not much to it. A tad watery. KC Stadium like.

Total Wine, Fairfax 12oz: Pours a hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is fruity, sort of light a cider, hints of citrus. Taste is fruity, lemony, and such at first and then finishes off with that nice little wheaty bite. Well balanced through and through. Quite tasty.

Pours cloudy golden with good head and lacing. Light sweet finish with fizzy carbonation. Some bitterness in finish as well. Some bread yeast as well. Tap at Summerfest DC.

Shitty bean aroma, with hints of coriander. Hazy golden, thick head, good lace. Lemon and beans, bready finish. Light body, soft carbonation. Not good.
