This gloriously amber-coloured ale is made with what is often considered to be the finest hop on earth, Simcoe. The result is a fantastically fruity finish with distinctly malty undertones.

Sampled in a blind tasting with Dr. Beer. Pours darker blonde, very mild amber. Decent white head. Smell is full on malty, only very subtile hops. Taste is moderately caramelly, bit metallic. Rather bitter. very metallic on the end. Very faded US-style hops.

330ml bottle: BB Nov 2018. Poured into my huge 'Judas' glass at home on 20th Sep 2017 during a live random tasting session with myself. Lovely looking clear and clean amber body, on top a white covering of foaming bubbles. malty lead in both the nose and taste, some hop bitterness and fruitiness also within the aromas and flavours, but the malts rule the roost. Liked it.

Bottle from beer hawk. I drink this and think of home and f*** I miss Britain and its gorgeous cask beers, poured into proper pint glasses; darker beers which cling to the palate and taste of pubs themselves. Ok getting carried away but this is a lovely amber ale. Bittersweet. Another cracker from this brewery.

Bottle from Cambridge Wine Merchants, Bridge Street. Light orangish brown, thin and clear with little head. Low aroma of light bready malt with some clove, orange peel. Taste is bitter-led, but there’s a birch-y herbal sweetness underlying it. Long medicinal finish. Takes a while to get used to but once you do, it’s pretty decent. There are so many ambers with bags of personality and I was hoping this was one... but it’ll do.
