Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is dark malt, caramel, notes of chocolate, dried fruits, some berries, raisins, and a touch of roast. Flavour is medium sweet and light to moderate bitter. Body is medium. An adequate Bock with some nice roasty and fruity notes.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Chocolate, caramel, and a hint of roast in the aroma and malty sweet flavor. Cacao even. Roastbitter finish. Slightly off balance, but certainly not bad.

Bottle at home. Dark chestnut brown with tan head. Sweet roasted malts, old leaves, spices, caramels, strong yeast presence. Medium sweet and quite bitter. Medium body, soft carbonation. Feels malty and roasty. Bit too bitter and yeasty. Intensified bock aroma.

33cl bottle at home. Clear mahogany pour with a thin, short-lived tan head. Notes of roasted malts, dried fruit, copper, a bit of coffee, herbal bitterness and burnt caramel. Medium body and carbonation and a roasty bitter-sweet finish.

Tap at Hopzak, 2015 version. Dark brown with very big beige head. Sour red fruits, apple, caramel, light earthy bitter, cola. Medium sweet and light bitter and sour. Medium bodied.

Tap at Rootz Winterbier Festival. Pours dark brown with a thick medium tan head. Aroma of caramel, malt and overripe dark fruit. Flavour is over moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

fles 33cl, lekkerbier, schenkt bruin/amber met minimale beige kraag. aroma van lichte geroosterde mout, chocolade, caramel. Smaken zijn matig zoet, matig bitter, aarde mouten, zeer licht zuur, caramel, lichte smaken van wat donker fruit, zwakke body, wat dun en glad, lage co2. erg beperkte bock.

Tap at the Huppel, Den Haag. Poured a clear brown with a frothy off white head and some clingy lace. The aroma is sweet caramel malt. The flavour is moderate sweet with rich red berry fruit, light yeast, hop bitter palate and a lingering cough sweet medicinal finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
