12 oz can poured. Near black pour, a ton of lasting foam head. A nice chocolate constant going on here. Warming, and toasty. Bready malt aroma, some soft coffee, vanilla, and chocolate. A pleasant flavor overall. Nice porter.

Can from Brennan’s Brookfield. Holy infection, Batman! Gusher. Pours mostly a large, dense foamy head that eventually settles dark brown. Aroma of roast, plastic and bandaids. The taste is roasted malt, chocolate, smoke, cherries. Medium bodied. A shame, seems like it was quite good.

Bomber from the grocery store. Aroma is dark bread crust, lots of roast, dark chocolate. Pours black with cola brown edges and a medium beige head that falls after a minute, leaving a little lace. Taste is roasty, lightly sweet, finishing lightly bitter and dry. Flavors of roasted malt, light chocolate. Tasty stuff. Nicely done and well-executed, but it’s not pushing any boundaries or anything.

On tap at Crooked Fence Barrelhouse, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small tan head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, dry cocoa and earthy coffee grounds. Flavour is very dry, with earthy coffee grounds and toasted malt. Dry and earthy. Decently made but nothing special.

12oz can. Brown black body, respectable beige off-white/beige head. Medium bodied, not much depth of body. Mellow chocolate and coffee notes, pleasant creamy roast finish. Not much going on, pretty boring offering. The amber malt shines through, giving it slight berry touches.
