A pleasant brown ale, a bit similar with the young's chocolate stout, notes of nuts, malt, chocolate, discreet coffe and subtle hop. 17.10.2018, drinking it at Lausanne, Prélaz

Brown with a thin, creamy head. Aroma with a strong roasted grain flavor, a bit nutty, toffee. Taste is mildly coffee bitter. Body to the light side of medium, carbonation very mild, lending the beer a flaccid feel in the mouth. Probably shouldn’t have drunk this one on a warm, late summer night though—it just felt all wrong.

33cl bottle from Beer52.com. A dark cola coloured pour with a tight beige head; aroma of coffee ground, with a hint of chocolate; rather thin in the mouth with a coffee taste and some burnt sugar; then a disappointing soft woody bitterness, and nothing in the way of a finish.
