750 ml bottle. Clear, dark amber body with a huge tan head. Aroma has distinct malt, light roast, caramel, some coffee and hops. Flavor is malty, caramel, fruit and balanced bitterness. A very nice brown ale with some references to a stout. Nice flavor and very quaffable.

0.75l bottle @ Naboen, Bergen. Pours a dark brown body with a big off-white fluffy as hell everlasting head leaving big lacings. Nose is roasted malts, weak coffee, milk-chocolate and faint citrus. Tastes mildly roasted, some grassy hops, slightly dry, with some licorice and mild coffee. Mouthfeeling tells me that this brew could easily have had one or three more abv points, but still, for a 4.7% the body is quite decent. Carbonation is low. Ends slightly dry and bitter with a nice, mild and lasting roasted profile that makes you want more of this! This truly eased my mind.

Flaske 0,75l på Skarven i Tromsø. Brygg 58. Delt med Rune & Marcus. Dyp brun. Medium høyt skum som nesten forsvinner. Svak sjokoladearoma. Smaken forbausende fyldig. Gjennomgående sjokolade & kakao. Flott integrert. Etterhvert en tørr ettersmak. Utmerket session-øl.

750ml bottle, brygg nr. 58, shared with Marcus and Finn at VertsHuset Skarven in Tromsø. Nice appearance with its bubbly, fawn coloured head. Fragile lace rings. Cloudy, dark-brown body. Rather subdued aroma of chocolate powder. Flavoured with cocoa and chocolate accomplished by smooth bittersweet ending. Mid-dry on the swallow. A good, fine bodied, brown ale enjoyed at 05.03.2011.

Small offwhite head. Deep dark red body. Roasty earthy coffee grounds aroma with chocolate and faint fruity notes is incredibly vivid. Dryish roasty chocolate and coffee grounds taste with light acidic and mealy earthy vinuous notes. Light body. Soft mealy mouthfeel. Dry earthy papery burnt aftertaste with mealy fruity notes. Lovely! Vivid, full of character, and highly drinkable. Harmonic, too. (0.75l bottle.)
