Ever so slightly hazy golden and peach coloured body with a thick, three to four centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of citrusey, grapefruity and lightly resinous qualities with a good deal of malt, some noticeable sugars and a large bitterness, at least in the nose from the dry hops. Medium-bodied; Strong rich hop flavours dominate with some grapefruit and pure citrus flavours with a good deal of malts, but very little else in terms of complexities. Aftertaste shows the resin from both the sticky hops, but also from the syrupy sweet notes and a dash of alcohol and more assertive grainy malt notes at the finish. Overall, about what you'd expect for an East Coast Imperial IPA with some deeper flavours, but a lot of hops and a good deal of malt for balance with some good sweetness and bitterness as well. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Total Wine in Newport News, Virginia on 17-November-2019 for US$3,86 sampled in the streets of New York while looking at the Christmas Lights in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn, New York on 06-December-2019.

Draft pour at Novemberfest 2014. Poured a dark golden orange color with a small white head. Aroma was plenty of resin pine notes, some grassy notes. Light hops. Flavor was bitter hops, pine, herbal. Some booze comes through.
