In this northern German style retro altbier, we’ve dialled down the dry-hops to zero, but cranked up the malt to create massive aromas. Toasty, toffee and floral notes duke it out for supremacy in the headspace of your glass.
When this alt hits your palate, the steely bitterness combines with the rich dry malt and the subtle alcohol warmth in a full throttle attack on your taste buds.
Malts: Carafa, Extra Pale, Munich
Hops: Hersbrucker, Magnum

0.33 l bottle, best before September 2016, for free from ’Hopfenrausch’ due to the expiry date. Clear, dark brownish amber with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly grassy-spicy aroma of caramel, nuts, bread and straw. Sweetish-malty, moderately grassy-spicy and a little fruity taste of caramel, nuts, bread, a touch of raisins and some straw, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, quite grassy-spivy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Decent, classic Alt.
