The Holy Moose has brought about a gathering of Nordic clans; with it comes a berry IPA overflowing with tart citrus flavour.
Cloudberry, lingonberry, blueberry and sea buckthorn meld with citrusy hops in an intensely sweet, fruity and floral aroma, with toasty malt notes and tropical fruit bursts.
This bitter, resinous IPA follows up with a lemony punch in the mouth - cherry and blueberry sourness takes this pithy pale ale in a new direction, before a long, dry finish.
Hops: Amarillo, Chinook, Mosaic

Keg at BD CJ. It pours hazy deep red with a nice white head. The nose is soft, juicy, jammy, red berry, bramble, light pepper and earth. The taste is crisp, tart, red berry, lingonberry, bramble, earth, light funk, green apple skin, lemon sherbet, straw and a touch of acidity with a short, dry finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Rather decent stuff.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - an attractive light red/orange, perhaps damson colour. A decent head. Nose - pine, grapefruit and fresh sweat. Taste - more sweat, then big sweet lingonberry note. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a finish which is a mixture of dry hops and sweet lingonberry. Overall - I just find lingonberry a little too sweet generally, which hindered my enjoyment as much as usual. Good underlying IPA recipe though,

Bottle from the Brewdog online shop. Pours clear red with a big white, pink-tinged head. Aromas of sour fruit and citrus, something a bit funky. Taste is mixed berries, sweet up front. Bitter, slightly thin finish.

Draught. Clear deep ruby liquid with purple hue and medium light pink head. Aroma of citrus, earth, lingonberries, lemon peel, grain and yoghurt. Taste is very light sweet and medium bitter with notes of lingonberries, lemon, grain and light earth. Medium bodies with medium carbonation. Aroma is a bit weird, but it tastes really good.
