330ml bottle. Cloudy golden colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, fairly lasting and lacing, white head. Saison-like yeasty and herbal aroma, a touch of dill, brine, marinade. Taste is strawy, pale malty, slightly floral yeasty, spicy yeasty, slightly disguised notes of peach. Not bad.

Bottle states Biere de Garde so here on ratebeer that means not Biere de Garde? Hmmm confusion. Thank you ratebeer. The 750mL bottle pours with a murky deep gold body that supports a dirty white head of foam. The aroma offers up sugary pears and apricot fruitiness as well as some cantaloupe and some spicy yeastiness. The taste starts with soft sugary sweet apricot and pear fruitiness edged by mild tart fruit skins and then flowing into spicy yeast. There is plenty of sweetness here that is trying to be balanced by spices and less sweet fruitiness but it doesn’t get there.

Refrigerated 75 cl brown bottle poured into a tulip. Pours translucent/hazy golden with big fluffy off-white head. Aroma is yeasty/floral hops, medium body, medium carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is yeasty, floral hops, some herbal hops, and a hint of skunk.

330ml bottle kindly shared by Finn. Pours a lasting white head to a cloudy golden body. Laces well. Wheat and semi-sweet fruity smell, notes of alcohol behind. Sappy sweet fruity taste profile, lightly spiced. Sweet ending with alcohol. Quite nice and smooth, rather sweet in the long run (Tromsø 19.02.2014).

Flaske 0,33l fra Brune Rousse Houblon, Nice. Delt med Rune & Charly under samling på Nerstranda 19 Feb 14. Gylden. Litt uklar. OK skum som flater ut. Teppelacing.
