750ml bottle. Assemblage no.2 6%.
Hazy straw colored pour, with a medium off white head. Outstanding horse blanket aroma, great notes of funk. Wet grass, stale hops, pungent sourness. The body is great the mouth feel is perfect. This is where i got a little disapointed. The sourness drops right off in the finish. All the great sour notes just fall off a cliff. The finish turns into a saison. Bitter, cereals, lemon zest and pith, and a slight pepperiness. Quite interesting. A sour ale in the nose, an a saison in the flavor and finish. Would be very interesting to see what some age does to this,

Assemblage 170220 in a big 750ml brown bottle pouring a golden colour, clean for now, with a fizzy off-white cap that disappears quickly leaving no lacing. Haziness does come. Bretty nose with some light sourness and mild sourness. Apples in the aromas and taste. Decent sour flavours with a light dryness in the finish. Some fruitiness all around. Easy to drink and not too sour and wild. Nice !

It's that odd thing in Ontario where we just don't seem to get may Quebec beers across the border, which is often a shame. Plus, being a unachieving beer guy, but not much of a beer news guy, I was surprised to note that LTDD had been bought by Molson's which hopefully works out well for them, but selfishly I hope their beers keep being exceptional. Lucky, this one is exceptional. It isn't said anywhere, but this comes off like a really well done lambic. Since the blend will be ever-changing call this the 2020 version? Mild green fruit sour, encompassed by a rich fruitiness of peach and grapes that just balances the sour without being sweet. The vanilla like oak notes, also have a little green wood in the finish. Really, really, good. Now available in the Lcbo, so go buy some, but please leave enough for me to grab six for the cellar.

Bottle at Bdin lfestival. Pours a hazy straw colour with a small off-white head. Aroma of horse, oak, gooseberries, lemon juice and some lactic acid. The flavour is similar with some earth and heather. Has a slick mouth feel, medium body and a light bitterness. Sour and nice. Well-balanced.

Hazy whitish pour, Foamer but comes down quickly. Nice autumny sour nose, light biscuits but sour. Taste has good balance between funky stuff, bit buttery or corny. Enjoyable. Refreshing but still giving lots of content for deeper pondering.

Poured from the tap. Slightly hazy pale yellow with white head. Light apple and acetic acid with mild brett. Finishes a bit quick and dry, almost watery.

Hazy amber with a thin head. Aroma shows some lactic and some malt. On the palate, pretty tart, still a malty note. Clean if simple version that brings gentle fruitiness.
