First snow storm of the year makes me think of summer beers, not stouts, tonight. Big spongy head, hazy gold body with lots of birds swirling around. Light malt smell, nothing else out of the ordinary in my nose. Big American Wheat taste. Good malt profile. Slight lemon on the background, but there’s also a gang of, I think, Citra hops. Not very warming in this cold weather, of course, but filling and enjoyable.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home tired after work on a nice spring evening with the window open, a nice feeling. Appearance is a cloudy gold with a robust frothy white head that laces to the glass. Aroma of wheat, citrus, and yeast. Taste is decent, mostly wheat and yeast, not bad though, a good sign of warmer weather to come.

Can. A- Lemon, orange, grapefruit, citrus, wheat, subtle hops. A- Golden yellow color, unfiltered liquid, white head. T- Citrus, orange, grapefruit, subtle bitterness, wheat, subtle spice. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, soft finish. O- Been wanting this one for a while. Not sure the age on this can, either it was super fresh or about a year of age on it. I’m assuming the later because of how soft the aroma and taste was. This did play a bit of a factor in my ranking. I’m sure I also would’ve liked this more in my early craft drinking days. Still, this is a solid unfiltered wheat with a tad bit of tropical fruit bitterness that makes it stand apart.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance is slightly hazy golden yellow colored body with a one finger white foamy head that dies within thirty seconds.
The smell has sweet wheat, slightly earthy hops, and just a tad of pepper.
The taste is sweet through the previously mentioned flavors and adding a nice little peppery kick in the back. There is no aftertaste, yet a dry finish.
The mouthfeel is vey smooth as this rolls across the tongue and mouth is almost practically indescribable, other than that, its light, and very sessionable.
Overall, I will definitely seek this beer out again as this is very good for the style and very good to me, there’s a nice refreshing aspect to it.

16oz can thanks to Jake65. Pours a hazy gold with some frothy, white head. Aromas of hay, grass, lemon, a little orange, mild spice, a little yeast. Not overly estery which I really liked. Flavor has some candy sweetness, a little plastic, lemon, dried grass, some light soap. Lightly sweet finish. Not your standard wheat.

16oz can poured into a shaker. Light citrus and light wheat. Drinkable but nothing special at all. This is everything i hate about summer seasonals.

Can at McNellie’s Pours a hazy pale yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has a strong wet/musty wheat note with a bit of underlying light fruit. Flavor has same strong wet and musty wheat note with a touch of banana and light fruits.

Super hazy, chunky orange coloured body with a bronze glow and a soapy-ish, one centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of pale malt, a bit of a grassy hop note, some bubble gum and a definite citrus and lemon scent. Light-bodied; Sharp hoppy note at first with a pungent yeast flavour, some lighter wheat tastes and a good sweet bubble gum flavour. Aftertaste shows a hint of spice, a little sweetness and a good balance of wheat and hops, all staying very light and mild. Overall, a nice and refreshing, easy-to-drink beer that would be great in the summer. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 23-May-2012 for US$1.49 sampled at home in Washington on 12-February-2013.
