Comme L'impératrice Catherine II de Russie au 18ème siècle, qui était fan de ce type de bière noire et puissante, succombez aux saveurs torréfiées du malt, ses notes de café et chocolat noir se mêlant à la subtilité de la vanille. Le tout adossé à un corps opulent, soutenu par l'amertume et les arômes d'agrumes et résineux du houblon Simcoe. Intense et complexe.

Clear dark brown to black beer, solid creamy irregular beige head, a little stable, crackles down quickly, slightly adhesive. Aroma: caramel, overripe banana, some chocolate, a bit sickening, some roast, no vanilla? MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of dark caramel, a little sweet, a bitter touch, rather dry, soft acidity, some vanillin, chocolate notes. Aftertaste: more acidic, a little “thin”, some bitter hops, a gentle roast, some vanilla, alcohol, coffee touch, very bitter, some dried orange peel, cocoa powder.
