Dit bier heet 4B omdat het een mix is van 4 bieren uit 4 verschillende bieren gemaakt door Gunther Bensch tussen Barcelona en Brussel.

Corked bottle #500/2700 at Matt’
Hazy golden color, not much head. Funky aroma of real Lambic, with a sharper lemon character; strong horseblanket. Very dry and highly carbonated; it blends the funky character of Lambics with citrus fruits; orange peel and cedar seem to dominate; a bit more dirty and yeasty than other Lambics.
Excellent.

Bottle - Grape, light petroleum and funk. Cloudy gold copper with a small white head. White grape, lemon peel and surprisingly mellow on tartness or acidity. Decent.

750mL bottle, pours an opaque cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of horse blanket, barnyard funk, and champagne yeast. Flavour is similar, bringing out lovely barnyard funk, a nice woody quality, some leather, horse blanket and a little champagne yeast. Certainly authentic for a gueuze, with a bone dry funky, leathery finish. Excellent stuff.

Bottle 750ml #602/2700 @ Patricks Pub og Restaurant, Kristiansand
Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, barnyard, funk, citrus, gooseberries and other fruits. Taste is light to medium sweet and light to medium sour with a long slightly dry, funky and fruity finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft. The nose kind of reminds me of 3 Fonteinen and the taste is more like a Boon. A very well made gueuze I just wish it were a bit more sour.

Bottle, 75cl. At Patricks. Quite clear in the glass, golden in color and with a small, dense, white head on top. The aroma is pretty lovely, with barnyard, hay, lemon peel, some grapefruit, horse blanket and some wheat malts. It’s not as sour as expected, still far from sweet, even though there’s something in it reminiscent of white sugar. It’s quite fruity too, pear perhaps, with lemon, barnyard funk and hay, grapefruit zest and old cellar. It’s full to medium bodied, with an appropriate carbonation level, nice sourness and a pleasant dryness. Lasting finish. A lovely beer indeed, even though it tastes too much of sugar. 150524

Bottle split at Bruces pad - for the last time, big thanks to Scopester, 27/03/15. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is tarte lemon rind, straw, funk, pissy notes, bitter orange, damp hay, funky, tarte fruit mash. Taste comprises musty wood, lemon rind, funky notes, apple core, spice, dank wood, dry rot. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with gentle puckerings. Solid gueze.
