Wake Up Call Imperial Coffee Porter has a distinct and robust coffee flavor that blends harmoniously with the roasted malts. Caramel, chocolate, and black malts give this ale its dark color and overtones of caramel and a cocoa-like sweetness. Only very gently hopped, the addition of coffee shines through, providing a delicious accent to this brew.

Bottle @ Malt & Mold (10/6/19). Opaque dark brown with very small frothy light beige head, faint coffee aroma, medium carbonation, mildly bitter caramel-coffee taste, thin body, long cafe au lait finish. Nice and smooth.

Black with a tan head. Thick blankets of lacing. Nice roast aromas and flavors. Clean finish for a pretty big beer. Fairly bitter as well. Some sharp campfire roast at the end. Not a lot of coffee, but complimentary.

750 mL bottle poured, thanks to Dustin. Cool to try this one, after trying the barrel aged version last year. Would prefer to try them in the other order, but that’s cool. Dark, near black pour with a cream foam head. A huge coffee aroma here, as expected. Bitter coffee roast flavor, but doesn’t have a boozy imperial feel to it. Coffee and cream in a beer, with some caramel. A delicious treat of a porter. Awesome.

The main that stands out is the natural balanced coffee blended with dark malt. Very smooth, balanced beer.

750 ml Bottle, 2016 vintage. Tan head that lasted throughout the snifter. Aroma is mild coffee, mild chocolate, mild grain. The flavor is decent amount of coffee, body is backed by chocolate and light roast. The texture has a velvet texture.

On tap at Haute Dish. Pours black with a dark brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has dark grains and strong coffee with some roasted malts underlying. Flavor combines dry roasted malts and coffee with bitter dark grains backing.

750ml bottle pours out dark brown topped with a tan head. Nose is big coffee roast malts and chocolate. Taste is more of the big coffee roast malts and sweet milk chocolate.

Black pour with +1"head of tan foam. Smells of coffee, roasted malt, chocolate mixed with caramel.

Same as smell but falls a bit short in terms of vibrancy.

Silky smooth mouthfeel.

Very impressive, not overly strong, Imperial. I dig it immensely.

Grunt fill from Albertsons. Almost black pour with full, thick, creamy beige head. Mild aroma of coffee and chocolate.. Taste brings some mellow bitterness, the coffee blending well with the dark malts and dome low key sweetness. Incredibly smooth. Bitterness lingers on the palate
