Old rating from 1996 - bottle enjoyed on a number of occasions on my 3 week trip. Pours golden with a white head. Aromas & tastes of apple, cereal grain, grass & sweet malt. Light body. Clean sweet malty finish

27/12/2022. Bottle at the ITFC Christmas beer share. From nanababa. Pours clear gold with a frothy white head. Aroma of malt, grain, cardboard, citrus, caramel. Quite sweet, light bitterness. Moderate body, slightly oily, quite fizzy. Fair.

Bottle courtesy of Ryan (not ryan), thanks to Travlr! Pretty standard European style, in the exact same vein of the Denmark variety. Pale yellow, unremarkable aroma, flavor, and look.

Bottle courtesy of Ryan (not ryan), thank you sir! Pours very pale yellow, tiny white head, no lacing. Aroma of cardboard and straw. Taste is dilute white pepper and water. Oh well.

Beer is called "Carlsberg Classic", made in Malawi by Carlsberg Malawi. Has no identification on the bottle aside from the front branded label. Label mentions a website called www.sobomw.com which doesn’t seem to be functioning. Smells like wet wood and hops, still a faint smell, not strong. Points for this beer having a nice dark amber hue, no points for the lack of head. Taste is all right, a bit syrupy, with dark malts coming through and some sweetness, slightly bitter aftertaste. Feels good in the mouth too. Definitely one of the better of the Carlsberg beers.
