Shiner Hefeweizen (Hef-ay-vite-zen) is a classic unfiltered Bavarian-style wheat brew. Once poured into a glass, the distinctively cloudy Shiner Hefeweizen delivers a fresh, satisfying flavor from start to finish.

What a label. 12 oz twist off cap. I was waiting awhile to taste this. Clean city water aroma, perhaps a bit metallic. Taste is lagerlike with a metallic hint. Good palate, nice carbonation. Finish is not offensive but has a bit of lingering alcohol. A little rough for a hefe. Rates there with Penn Weizen.

draft. cloudy. Not bad, especially for a good American Wheat beer. Tastes like a good German Hefeweizen beverage.

Finally a decent beer from this brewer! Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy bright golden color with a large white head. The aroma is moderately strong with banana and bubblegum with a hint of citrus. The flavor is sweet and wheaty with a strong bubblegum, banana and a hint of citrus.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a hazy golden with a creamy, white head. Aroma of citrus and yeast. Light-bodied with distinct accents of citrus and yeast. Dry, lightly tart finish. Sort of a hybrid between German and Belgian wheat beer as it has honey, orange and lemon added. I miss some of the sublime esters from real Hefe here. 010406

Lightly cloudy yellow-orange color with a thin white head that lasts pretty well. Thin and spotty lacing. Light citrus and spices in the nose. Light-bodied and fairly zesty with citrus up front along with some wheat and spices. The flavor mellows out pretty quickly though. The finish is round and wheaty. Really not worthwhile.

Hazy golden beer with a thin big bubbled white head. Sulfury wheat aroma, with band-aid. In mouth, lightly acidic notes with wheat, herbs and lemon. No typical banana notes in this. A bit past its prime.

$1.49 for a 12-oz single bottle. Cloudy yellow with a large white head. Smells like "beer." Bitter, funkiness in the mouth. Does not taste like a hefeweizen or even an American wheat to me. Blah

Bottle. Orange rind, banana, clove aroma. Light golden yellow and orange color - cloudy with small head. Spicy clove and orange flavor. Decent body for a wheat. Nice beer for an American wheat.
